Going over it in his mind, Inferno wondered exactly what the point was in stealing material things. He had lived off of virtually dirt for his entire life so far and had grown quite content with that. Besides, he also knew how easy it was for someone else to steal what you claim to be yours- much like in this case.
The mall had definately seen better days, parts of the marble floors chipped and cracked, paint on the walls discolored from new paint mixing with the old and darkend paint of previous years- not to mention that some parts of the mall were left in disrepair from budget issues.
So it was perfect for a group of thieves to steal what good items managed to stick around. After reminding himself about the escape route, Inferno warmed his hands and pulled up the bandana he had with him today. All at once a series of alarms went off, followed by dirty, shadey teenagers not much older then Inferno sprint out of several different stores with clothes, food, CDs, laptops in plastic bags- whatever they could carry.
All at once, mall security was on the scene and that was where Inferno came in. Balling his hands into fists, Inferno gathered flames around them as he swung his arms and sent streams of crimson flames hurling into the paths of mall security. It wouldn't be long until superheroes arrived so they had to be quick about this. Seeing a pair of guards chase after his comrades on the balcony, Inferno spun on his heels and pushed out one hand to send a stream of fire directly into their path and effectively cutting them off from pursuit.
Some were heading his way now, but he wasn't scared of them in the slightest as he continued to spin on his heels, releasing whips of fire that always came inches away from actually hitting a guard but never really touching them. Then the sprinklers came on and that was Inferno's cue to get the hell out of dodge.
Ducking under some yellow tape, Inferno ran as fast as his legs would carry him. He had to get to the subway, he'd lose them down there for sure...
