Macklin Manufacturing Group was the very first general industrial business to open a plant in Jump, back when the city was still brand new, and since Macklin made everything from toasters to power drills, the south side location was logical since the major urban concentration was located in the south side of Jump, but now of the five Macklin plants built, only two still stand, left abandoned after a freak accident caused the first building to explode and the second to burn down. The fifth building was later demolished after an earth quake left it unstable.
