Two years.
In two years time, so much had changed, enough to help shift over ten years of built up habits and traits, walls that held in emotion and hid the truth of ones feelings, but then, some times life had a way around such things…
One such way was warmth.
The warmth was all consuming, it was everywhere and it was everything, in her, in him, everywhere, and it was good.
She slowly stirred, her hands holding onto a broad and powerful chest, one resting on a shoulder the other under his other shoulder, near the base of his neck, where her face was nestled, the hot earthy scent of his skin, her own bared flesh warm to the touch, unlike the night before when it had been hot as an iron, just like his, that night being a night of perfect passion, and complete connection for them, the total knowing of another person being the last major link in their relationship, something that had been strong and deep for some time now, ever since the three words that meant everything where whispered between them.
Violet shifted her head slightly, her face rubbing lightly into William’s neck and chest as she felt some sunlight dance across her back and shoulders, her long black tresses splayed over her shoulder and the bed as she laid on him, his powerful arms around her lightly, protectively, and above all, gently, the warmth of his body spread about under and around her was just one of the things that made her feel safe and guarded, protected, things she had not felt since she was a small child in her late fathers arms.
Lightly, she moved her hand from his shoulder near her face down his chest and to his lower torso, then back up, feeling the hot, thick, and dense rock hard muscle under his warm tanned skin, the various scars only adding to his rugged and handsome frame in her mind, the amount of power his body held wasn’t lost on her, but then neither was his gentleness, which she knew he was at heart, a gentle and kind person.
Nuzzling her face into his neck, Violet kissed him gently as she rubbed over his chest, the soft deep rhythm of his drumming heartbeat, slow and powerful, was hypnotic and comforting. She let out a small sigh as she leaned her head up and smiled at him, his arms moving now as well, a hand rubbing up and down her bare side, the other arm pulling her tighter into him as he shifted to his side and looked at her, his pale blue eyes, shaded like faded denim, glowed with joy at the sight of her, her own dark blue orbs dancing and happy as her lips turned up into her soft contented smile, his own smile happy and innocent as he leaned up and pressed his grin into hers, their lips dancing for a moment, her hand reaching up to hold his cheek, the faint stubble tickling her fingers and her palm, making her smile more as they parted lips and gazed at each other, his hand gently holding her neck.
“Good morning Mon Amour…” he whispered to her, making her blush, his voice was soft deep and powerful, and the way he spoke her native tongue made her smile, and tinted her cheeks slightly as she closed her eyes and bowed her head, leaning into him more.
“Good morning.” She said softly as she laid her head on his shoulder once more and sighed, she had never hoped for such happiness, not since she was a little girl playing princess with flowers in her hair, and now, she was… More than just some princess locked in a tower, she was so much more.
The way she felt about Will was almost too much to put into words, they where a perfect match, with so much alike, yet so much else different, they complemented each other in ways that only a story book writer could come up with, but it was all very real, so real that as perfect as they where, they had of course, had their troubles…
But that was all pretty much behind them, most of it at least, and for now, in this moment in time, there was just warmth, and contentment, happiness and love, for now, there was “us” and that was all either of the young super heroes needed…
