Name: Violet- The Character -
Name: Patience Phillips
Alias: Catwoman
Species: Human
Age: 24 years
Gender: Female
Team Affiliation: None.
Member Group: Neutral.
Canon: Yes.
Appearance: Patience is a dark-skinned young woman with soulful dark brown eyes. Her face is fairly angular and smooth, and her brown hair spikes in every direction, lying in casual disarray around her head. She wears stylish but not trendy outfits, preferring to express herself in her own artistic way. Her frame is thin and sinewy, with muscles and a figure to die for. She carries herself with graceful confidence, and the last thing anyone would call her is uncoordinated. As Patience, her expression is usually serene and secure, but not challenging.
As Catwoman, she wears a suit with skintight leather pants, a bustier style bra, and a pair of leather straps that crisscross over her stomach. Her black mask covers the top half of her head, and two cat ears come out of the top. Her hands are clad in elbow length gloves tipped by diamond claws. She also wears black heels in this costume. She has a dangerous air about her, although her attitude is very sensual. She is not afraid to use her sexuality to get what she wants, or to toy with anyone she pleases.
Personality: Patience was once a very shy and understated individual who would’ve been accurately described as a people-pleaser. These days, she has embraced the duality of womanhood, and can be alternately docile and aggressive, nurturing yet ferocious, as Ophelia Powers once put it. She accepts both sides of this personality, along with all of the other gifts that come with being a cat woman. She is fiercely independent, not conforming to the rules of society or to the expectations others have of her. She follows her own creed and is not afraid to bend the rules to get what she wants. She is the perfect balance between good and evil, and one can never know whether she is going to do something unlawful or noble. Like a cat, she delights in frustrating people.
She also has an artistic streak which is revealed in her day job and in her wardrobe. She is an excellent painter, and his highly creative in all areas of her life. She is adaptable and flexible, but she knows when to strive for what she wants.

History: Patience was once a young artist who went to art school and got a job at a cosmetics company creating advertisements for Beau-line. She had two best friends named Sally and Lance, she failed at relationships, and she was an avid people-pleaser with little self-confidence, not recognizing her own strengths. One day, she was working on a design for an ad when she noticed a spotted/striped cat perched on a ledge, meowing as if stuck. As she climbed out to get it, her footing gave way and she almost fell. A police detective named Tom Lone saw the goings-on from the street and was convinced that she was a jumper, but he saved her and discovered the truth of the matter. Later that day, he asked her on a date. That night, she went to drop off the designs at the Beau-line factory and accidentally overheard the scientists discussing the beauty crème and the side effects. When her presence was discovered, she ran from the guards, who proceeded to flush her down the pipes she had run into. She drowned in the river below.
The cat from the ledge found her on the shore and breathed life into her, also giving her the gifts she now possesses: the gifts of a cat woman. She awoke the next day, not remembering any of what happened. Over the next few weeks, she went through the transformation from Patience to Catwoman, and eventually, with the help of an elderly college professor named Ophelia Powers, she came to understand what she was, and what it meant. Realizing that she had been killed, she investigated who and why, and rediscovered the secret of Beau-line. Unexplained murders planned by the wife of the CEO were pinned on her, and these charges led to her eventual arrest. When Patience escaped, she made her way to the building, where she took down Laurel Hedare and foiled her schemes. She then realized that she couldn’t continue to see Tom Lone because his world was too black and white and she wouldn’t fit in it.
Months later, she had another job at a newspaper, designing advertisements. A transfer led her to move to Jump City, where she resumed her Catwoman life style, enjoying her freedom from society and occasionally “being as bad as she wants to be” by partaking in burglary when she wants something.
Roleplay Example: A crack of her whip alerted the two overweight guards to the presence of the feline burglaress, but when they reached down for their weapons, they realized that they guns were gone. A teasing purr rumbled in her throat as she spun the guns on her fingers dexterously. Tossing both aside, she intercepted the first guard’s attack by ducking under him, maneuvering between his extended legs to stand up just behind him, her face rubbing against his shoulder luxuriously. Taken off guard, he froze at the unexpected touch. The other guard stood back, his eyebrows drawn together in confusion.
“Meow,” she crooned, her fingers stroking his face. Her smile turned to a smirk as she twisted and tangled her legs up with his own, causing him to fall over as she backed away lithely.
The other guard rushed toward her, outraged. With a scorpion kick, she took him out with ease before replacing her now-coiled whip at her side. The smile returned to her lips as she looked around the museum. The diamond was so… pretty. She pulled it from its case and bagged it before moving on through the exhibit. Not many of them caught her eye, but by the time the police showed up, she had long since departed with her bag of goodies.
Her eye-catching figure would’ve attracted a lot of attention, were it not for the fact that no one hung out on the rooftops to see it. Their loss.
