Kevin is a tall and lithe young man with features that seem wild and feral. His thin eyes are a very pale brown, and they can go from looking intense to laidback in an instant, and vise versa. However, he is usually laidback, preferring to sleep rather than do anything strenuous. His spiky hair is a plain dusty brown, and it is useless to try to get it to lie flat. He always wears a black leather choker which covers a jagged scar on the back of his neck, evidence of some severe trauma. He also usually wears a black or dark blue jacket which is always open and exposing his relatively delicate collar bone. His body is covered in scars which only show when he chooses to reveal them. Otherwise, they are covered by his clothing.
His stature is long and thin, but he is deceptively strong for his slight stature. He usually appears laid-back but watchful, and his pale brown eyes are always vigilant for anything dangerous. He has the demeanor of a person who has been viciously and unexpectedly attacked multiple times, and that's not far from the mark, but it gives him a distinctive feral air. He always seems like he's about to attack or run for it, but you can never tell which.
Personality: Ferus has a strange personality which is a little difficult to figure out. He seems wary all of the time, but not afraid. He has great confidence in his own abilities, but most people can't figure out the difference between his hostility and his flight response. He is almost always calm and finds amusement in the strangest of things. Despite his rough past, he isn't hesitant to smile when appropriate, and he isn't inherantly unfriendly. He is cautious, however, and his very challenging to catch offguard. His lifestyle is very flexible, and that's the way he prefers it. He does as he pleases, and hates being used more than he hates almost anything else.
When threatened, he fights like a wild thing, using a combination of speed, ferocity, and precision to defeat his attacker. It is from his unique combat style and his aloof personality that he gained his name. He actively avoids romantic relationships.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Ferus' DNA was altered in painful experiments and he gained the physical advantages of the best mammalian predators in natural history. His eyesight exceeds that of a cat's, in speed, sharpness, night vision and distance. However, this also dampens his attention to color. He isn't colorblind, but what attracts his eyes is movement rather than color. His hearing is more acute than that of a bat, but this also makes him more susceptible to sound based attack or generally loud noise. Aggravating his ears puts him in a very foul mood, since it gives him a headache. His sense of smell is the equal of any bloodhound's, although he often tries to ignore this sense, since the odors of the city can be rather foul.
He also has great speed and manouverability, as well as natural balance and enhanced strength in comparison to his size. He has unmatched reflexes and natural instincts that help him out quite a lot. In combination with extensive training, he can move freely in any environment using a unique style of martial arts and freerunning. He fights with the use of a custom Ssangyunggeom, which is a pair of twin swords held in the same sheath. He wears them across his back. Their names are Judicium and Salus, latin for Judgement and Salvation. They are made of a special material that is virtually indestructable, but about the same weight as normal steel. Kevin can use them to deflect bullets.
History: Kevin was born in a slum in New York to an Irish immigrant who had married an Italian man. They lived in a tiny apartment above the restaurant which they owned, but it was a small place and it didn't bring in much money. The Stewart family lived in obscurity, just scraping by for years. Kevin was a financial burden on the family, but the family was happy. Unfortunately, the father got on the wrong side of the organized crime in the city, and Kevin's parents were killed by assassins. He landed in an orphanage a week before his seventh birthday. However, his time there was short, as a laboratory came there in a shady under-the-table deal to gather test subjects.
He was selected because of his apparent natural athleticism and his ferocious independence and distrust of anyone but himself. They took him to a genetics facility and performed experiments on him for several years. He spent a great deal of time in water filled tanks, from which he could escape. When he wasn't undergoing training or experimentation, he was kept in a tiny, barred cell, where he was given a classical education. If he did poorly, he was physically punished. After nearly ten years of this, he finally managed to escape, taking his specialized weapons with him. He found out later on that the purpose of the experiments and training was to create a new type of super soldier. However, his independent spirit wouldn't break, and they couldn't discipline him.
He ran away, traveling on his own using the combat training that he'd received to stay alive. Given the fact that the laboratory was looking for him, he abandoned his name and took the name Ferus. He hunted for his meals until he reached the city and took up a job at a gymnasium. He works there now, but the money isn't enough to sustain a living. To make up the difference, he steals what he must. Because of his skill and speed, he gained notoriety among the local authority and his now wanted, although no one knows what he looks like. He moves too quickly and stealthily for anyone to catch a glimpse of him. However, he's been making a habit of stopping whatever crime he happens across, giving him notoriety among the underworld as well.
What he doesn't know is that the laboratory belonged to LuthorCorp.
