Yes, “Uh, no” Olivia said, her eyebrows furrowing. She always lied when it came to Nick. The public opinion of nick was that he was great, he was the best in town… little did they know… little did they know.. Olivia wouldn’t admit that Nick would spend endless hours (or what felt like it) beating on her, using words, his hands, or extra work that she may or may not be getting paid for. But his most recent attack was now, sex. He hadn’t touched her since last year, and now, he was starting up again.. Nick used Ruby as collateral, using fear as his main attack. As will asked this question, she let the previous abuses swim around her head like guppies. “Ok, you can leave, but it would be a shame if Ruby couldn’t eat this week” “Oh Livi-doll, I think you’d miss Ruby if she just…. Disappeared.” These things, always scared her. She would sleep in her small little bed with Ruby at her side, or she’d stay up, just watching her sleep so peacefully. That was the time Olivia used to reflect on her situation. She was pretty sure Ruby was happy, otherwise, she would have told her so. So, as long as Ruby was a happy camper, She was sure that she can learn to be at her happiest soon enough. As long as Ruby was happy, Olivia’s own state wasn’t important, as long as ruby was safe, happy, and fed.
“I know” Olivia nodded. “I trust you” the blond looked to Ruby, who was sucking her three fingers, as always.

Will gave her a sad smile, her face was impassive, but her eyes almost glowed and danced with the memories, which due to their close proximity, he was able see and even feel, and while he felt a coldness deep within Olivia, he knew it wasn't her personality, but something else, her personality was quiet, calm and sweet, and the thought that what he was seeing and feeling happened to her on a regular basis caused something deep within him to boil with anger at the injustice and cruelty of it all...
Rotating slightly, he faced her a bit more, and slowly extended his arm around her shoulder, and drew her into a gentle hug as he sighed softly; "You always where a bad liar..." he gave her a gentle squeeze as he held her, his other hand coming up and stroking the back of her head lightly, a big brotherly feeling washing over him as he held her there for a few moments then slowly let go and looked into her eyes and spoke softly to her, with as much earnestly as he could muster; "I'm going to get you away from Nick Livvy, you and Ruby deserve so much better than that guy..."

“What makes you think I’m lying?” she asked. Olivia couldn’t be that easy to read, otherwise she would have been dead long ago… The blond nodded, just trying to find a way to change the topic. This was always uneasy for her. Speaking of Nick was iffy for her. She didn’t like it, it made her nervous. Sometimes it seriously bothered her when she had to talk about him, it even bothered her to stand in front of him and talk about daily life things like weather, sports, or her body. Which always seemed to be a topic of conversation with him. He liked his girls on the thinner side.
Olivia sighed, hoping it would be that easy. “Just because we deserve better doesn’t mean we’re going to get it… Not many people want a teenage girl with a toddler around. Its kind of a deal breaker to be me…” Olivia bit her bottom lip. She had never been in a stable relationship. She never had a stable relationship with anyone actually, they either died, or disappeared. Every person she had gotten close to lost her… even Will.
The day before Destiny, and his parents had died, Will and her had a moment. They were talking, just like friends would. But, then, it turned into something different. Will had kissed her. She had convinced herself it was meaningless, but she knew she was wrong.

"Maybe not..." Will said softly as he looked at her and Ruby, the went on; "But sometimes, people are given the power to change things, and to sit by and do nothing is selfish and wrong... I'm going to help you, no matter what, it's what friends do... Right?" he looked up at her and leaned in some, trying to make eye contact again, to show her he wasn't going to smile and nod while she suffered and Ruby hung in the balance, not at the perverted whim of Nick...
Will felt that unholy anger bubble up deep inside again, and his whole body grew warmer for a moment, even as his face and eyes held the kindness and worry he had for her, despite the hot anger that was burning deep down inside...
He leaned in and kissed her forehead as he hugged her again, this time pulling her in close and wrapping her up protectively in his arms as he whispered in her ear; "Things are going to get better Livvy, I promise, you're not alone..."
