jpd headquarters ;; A large and modern concrete, glass and steel building, this is the central department building for the Jump City Police Department, and it's where its S.W.A.T. and Q.R.T. units are based from due to its central location in this large and growing metropolis. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

jump central bank ;; This huge building is a security nightmare to patrol for the guards, but the security is tight, and it is the home to the wealth of Jump. Robbing attempts are common, but rarely succeed. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

slice of jump ;; A Slice of Jump is the best known pizza parlor in the city, and with a raised patio shaped, and painted to look like a slice of their "world famous" pizza (and the fact that its right off of main street) it's as easy to find as it is on the wallet. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

jump mall ;; The Jump City mall is one of the few places downtown that has yet to show the effects of the sudden surge in crime and poverty, and it is also one of the few places to have been practically destroyed and rebuilt countless times, without much fuss or worry about the cost, until now as the money slowly dries up. the subway ;; This underground subway system has been in place since the founding of the city, but constant updates and renovations have kept it safe and running. The recent drop in funding has allowed the cars to become battered and dirty, but they are still considered safe. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

allen county courthouse ;; Although it was the first Government building to start construction the architecture and design of the Courthouse would lead one to think it was built with in the last few years before the sudden downturn in Jump with its sleek, rounded glass covered design and clever usage of lighting and bronze to display the Seals of the City, County and State, the courthouse is an almost disturbingly modern looking place with a cold and sterile feel to its many halls where justice is handed down to the people, by the people. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

other places ;; Downtown Jump City is a very populous place. There is a lot of crime here, since the banks are mainly in this area. Be careful. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

Somebody that I used to know [open] by Olivia Levine Sept 28, 2012 23:51:39 GMT -5 |
mansion row ;; This ritzy street is the site of many high-class homes belonging to the rich. The estates are fenced in, blocking them off from the darker outside world. Robbery attempts on this street are common, but the residents have stepped up security to protect their belongings. Only the most slippery of thieves dare venture inward... Moderator: Violet Schultz |

jefferson park ;; This cozy middle class neighborhood is filled with working families and average-sized homes. Unfortunately, it is commonly hit by thieves, and it is overrun by gang activity. Most children remain indoors for their own safety, because you never know when the next drive-by will take place. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

apartment complex ;; This densely populated area is full of small rundown apartments which line the streets. Traffic is often heavy, but it is a dangerous place to venture because of the various shady backalley crimes that take place here. There is a high concentration of young adults here, since rent is so low. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

storage facility ;; This area is a glorified warehouse where the people of Jump City store their extra belongings. Security varies from loose to tight, but there is no loss for stacks of crates and garage-like buildings. Moderator: Violet Schultz |
0 | 0 | No posts have been made on this board. | |
abandoned warehouse ;; This abandoned wholesaler plant is a common place for the homeless to gather, though it isn't very safe. Gangs occassionally commandeer it for their own use, and criminals often hide here. The grounds itself is rather expansive and filled with useless junk. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

The next step, backwards [Jermaine/Titans/Invite] by Jermaine Manning Aug 19, 2010 17:21:27 GMT -5 |
pirate's bay ;; Being the smaller of the two bays that make up much of Jump's coastline, the northwestern location of Pirate's Bay puts it near the forests north of downtown and the city limits, and with the hilly ground surrounding it, making it a popular getaway from the urban areas. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

titans tower ;; Standing on a small, sparsely wooded island in the northern half of Seagal Bay, within sight of Pirate's Bay, is a large, concrete steel, and yellow glass "T" that serves as both a base of operations and home to the Teen Titans, Jump City's protectors, icons and main source of income, expense and entertainment. seagal bay ;; Seagal Bay is the larger of the two bays that define Jump City's coastline, and as such, the bulk of the maritime traffic in and out of Jump can be found going in and out of here, it is also where you can get one of the best low level views of Titans Tower. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

the docks ;; Stretching all along the southern half of Seagal Bay (nicknamed "seagull" bay) is fronted by the shipping docks where every kind of freight imaginable is shipped and temporarily stored, and where much of the crime in the west and south sides originates from. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

oak wood ;; Oak Wood is an area that was once a large, typical middle class American neighborhood but has fallen down into a quiet, dark neighborhood that is now little more than a silent war zone between the good citizens and the slum lords that live there. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

macklin manufacturing ;; Macklin Manufacturing Group was the very first general industrial business to open a plant in Jump, back when the city was still brand new, and since Macklin made everything from toasters to power drills, the south side location was logical since the major urban concentration was located in the south side of Jump, but now of the five Macklin plants built, only two still stand, left abandoned after a freak accident caused the first building to explode and the second to burn down. The fifth building was later demolished after an earth quake left it unstable. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

madison square ;; Madison Square was once a lovely upper class gated community with many, midsized to large, two and three story houses, but is now dominated by cheaply and hastily built up apartment buildings that are little more than a plywood ghetto. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

jump trailer park ;; This neighborhood is extremely rough. Originally a stop for RV travelers, it has become a permanent home for hundreds of Jump City citizens who live in mobile homes. Those who live here are generally poor, and stick together. However, it is very dangerous for outsiders and has a very high crime rate. Watch your back. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

greybeck bar ;; This old tavern has been here for many years, and is owned by an old man and his wife. It is frequented by many of the residents, despite its ragged appearance. However, trouble can often be found here where alcohol and testosterone mix. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

hive academy ;; This school for young supervillains is run by a man known as Brother Blood, although it is confirmed that Brother Blood was frozen with the other villains in Paris. However, as many supervillains who had been frozen have been resurfacing, the whereabouts of Brother Blood are unknown. Still, many young villains still come here to train and to become better at what they do. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

lincoln central library ;; A small bronze replica marks the entrance of this fair-sized public library. There are multiple stories of books, magazines, and other media which are open to the general public. The concrete pillars and staircase are becoming cracked with age and weather, but the lack of funding prevents any renovations. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

the preserve ;; The Jump City Nature Preserve is a square mile of trees, streams, and natural beauty where hunters are forbidden and animals are plentiful. College students often are required to come here for biology classes, but many others come for the peaceful atmosphere amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. Moderator: Violet Schultz |

dakota city ;; Dakota City is a small industrial port city in the northwest, and is home to a "breed" of Mutants called "Bang Babies", so named due to an explosion of a large quantity of unstable bio-chemical nerve gas in the warehouse district during the Gang wars five years ago, which gave birth to many small time crooks and local supervillains as well as the local teenaged superhero, Static Shock. It is doing fairly well now that Mayor Queen is getting crime under control, so the streets are fairly safe. Moderator: Violet Schultz |
